Blue cabinet...a little update

I know it's taken me absolutely <i>ages </i>to get back to this post, but better late than never I guess! Project: sneak peek

Clayfield - a work in progress

For some time now, I've been working on a very special project. My sister lives in a gorgeous old worker's cottage in the Brisbane suburb of Clayfield, and I've been helping her with its renovation. I absolutely love old Queenslanders, so not only do I get to work with my lovely sister, I also get to play with her very cute house! <br /><br />We've spent a long time looking for the perfect dining table and chairs, and as space is limited we needed to find something quite petite. I can't wait to share the finished product with you, it's quite the transformation. The house was completely original, and the kitchen consisted of a cupboard, a sink and an ancient sandstone fireplace. We now have a charming and airy space which complements the original cottage beautifully. DIY update

Morning all,<br /><br />Just a quick update this morning on my little weekend DIY project. After much <strike>indecision</strike> deliberation, I went with my first thought and decided to paint my little setting white (thanks so much to everyone for your advice). These chairs are actually part of a set, along with a two-seater, and that's what I've painted so far. It looks fantastic and I'm really pleased with it.<br /><br />Now before I show you the final result, I need to recover the seat cushion. I'm <i>loving</i> all things ikat right now, due in no small part to all the irresistible eye candy Louise has gathered over at <a href="http://tabletonic.com/">Table Tonic</a>. So many lovelies to choose from, and by sticking with white I can change  the cushions whenever I like for a whole new look.
