Ali's gorgeous home (and my art!) in Australian Home Beautiful

One of the best things about blogging is connecting with lovely readers like Ali. Earlier this year, I sent some original paintings her way; she was adding the finishing touches to her new home in the NSW Southern Highlands - one of the loveliest places on earth. And what a beautiful home it is. Featured on <a href="http://www.houseofturquoise.com/2010/10/southern-highlands-readers-home.html">The House of Turquoise blog</a>, and now in the latest issue of <a href="http://au.lifestyle.yahoo.com/home-beautiful/">Australian Home Beautiful</a>,  I was thrilled when she contacted me to commission some original watercolours. He said they loved my blue and white paintings, and would I be interested in sending some to New York for a feature in the magazine? Oh, and they had to be there in under four days. After I picked myself up off the floor, of course I said yes, and then spent the next few hours in a state of panic. Did I mention it was December? Or that the US had extra security in place for checking mail over the holidays? Anyway, I sent them on their way, and today I saw the end result. We had a lovely day, shared with family who joined us here for lots of food, a drink or two and the traditional Singstar challenge which lasted well into the wee hours. Today the crew have braved the dismal weather and headed off to Noosa, which leaves me with the whole day to myself.
